I am in NG25 and just checked Ch 31 554Mhz from Waltham (ITV1,2,Ch4 etc). All seems fine.
I have had co-channel problems with Emley Moor on Ch49 - signal strength was good but picture problems.
Do you get a strong (ish) secondary stations on presets 800-810. Are these also Ch31?

I thought WiFi broadcasts on 2.4 GHz so this should be well out of your way but what else is operating, perhaps on the same circuit? Do you have wireless extenders or use internet / mains boxes (BT Vision).
