Below are all of KMJ, Derby's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Sophie harris: There have been a number of posts from viewers in the South of England who have experienced drop outs in reception or who have lost channels after retuning. This is due to the current weather conditions, resulting in French transmissions travelling further than normal. When they are on the same frequency as the English signals the strongest signal at the time of the retune wins! Wait for the conditions to change resulting in the return of the required signals then retune to restore reception of the lost channels.

nathan williams: Why move ITV1+1? Channel 33 is a brilliant partner for channel 3 and is so easy to remember!

john phillips: Fenton does transmit the COM muxes on C22+, C25 and C28 at 1kW. There is more likely to be conflict though between transmissions from Moel Y Parc and Sutton Coldfield on C42 and C45. Sutton Coldfield transmits at 200kW. Both Fenton and Sutton Coldfield completed DSO stage 2 on 21st September 2011.

Ian: The Lichfield mast is in use for FM and DAB radio. It is also a proposed site for the Derbyshire DAB multiplex, if this ever takes to the air!

suzanne: It is possible to receive Film 4 and the other channels on the COM muxes in West Kirby, but only if you have an aerial pointing to Moel Y Parc in Wales. Aerial set for horizontal polarisation and pointing SSW at 209 degrees. Good reception of all muxes from M-Y-P is predicted at your location, subject to there being no local obstructions in the signal path such as trees or tall buildings. If your aerial is currently pointing to the West Kirby relay you will only receive the PSB muxes for NW England, as this is a Freeview Lite (PSB only) transmitter. Using two aerials, linked with a diplexer, will give all available services at your location.

Christopher Hall: There are no plans to add the COM muxes to the Oakhampton transmitter, as the Mux owners do not consider it to be a worthwhile investment considering the small increase in extra viewers that would be achieved. You might be able to receive signals direct from Huntshaw Cross or Caradon Hill, using a suitable aerial, or alternatively, satellite reception offers a number of the missing channels such as ITV3/4, Film 4 and Sky News. With regard to the Licence Fee, you do receive all the BBC channels, which is all the licence fee pays for on Freeview.

Andy Fraser: The PSB muxes at Hannington will be transmitted at full power (50kW) from DSO on 8th and 22nd February 2012.This should give coverage similar to the current analogue services. The COM muxes, however, will still have a resriction to protect the low power digital services at Guildford. This will last until DSO at Guildford which takes place on 4th and 18th April 2012. The final power for the COM muxes at Hannington is 25kW.

Mr John Clark: Very little chance of the COM multiplexes being added. The owners of the muxes do not consider that it would be cost effective to extend coverage to relay sites. In the case of Beecroft Hill, even though it covers 21,000 homes, many of these are also served by Emley Moor and/or Belmont if extra channels are required, plus many of the viewers have satellite or cable tv.
