Belfast Black Mountain NIMM on Mux36 broadcasting RTE Channels.
The transmitter is listed as being 5kW, but I think it must be higher as I receive it in Killyleagh (20 miles away) at 82% (arbitary reading on LG TV).

Divis at 34km los:
The 100kW muxes are showing signal "strength" of 10.
The 50kW muxes are showing 9.
Mux 36, listed as being 5kW is showing 5.
Mux 55, listed as being 12kW is showing 7.
Black Mountain at 33km los:
Mux 33, listed as 2kW is giving 7. It must be a lot more than 2kW.
This is a rebroadcast of four RTE channels, programmes ar often not available due to broadcasting rights.
The figures are from my Panasonic DVR, which shows signal strength of 0 to 10, an arbitary figure.
RTE from Claremont Carn at 55km gives a useable signal on Mux 42 and 45 using a 14 ele Log Periodic on my balcony. Saorview shows TV channel numbers in the 800 series on my Freeview tuner - to avoid confusion with the Freeview.

NVTV (TV Ch7) is on Mux ch 36 (NIMM 594GHz). In Killyleagh I get 100% strength from a communal 21 element Mux Master with a (11dBi gain). The 100% reading on my Samsung is somewhat arbitary, I don't know what signal strength it relates to. The Divis details show a transmitter power of 5kW. Given such a strong signal I doubt if it is that low.
Some parts of Bangor are in a shadow. You can check using a line-of-sight tool (such as on Solwise).
COM7 is Mux 55 and contains Freesports, PBS, BBC News HD. It needs a HD tuner. 100% signal in Killyleagh.
The TV Channel numbers, as shown in the TV Guide, change frequently and can move to another Mux, but the big ones don't.
Try to find signal information on your TV. It is often hidden away. On my Samsung it is settings>support>device care> self diagnosis and not in the tuning menu where you'd expect. LG is easier.

Many RTE programmes from Divis are blocked because of Copyright and Licensing. Rugby is one example.
Some areas in N.I. can get RTE direct from Clermont Carn near Omeath and Honeywell Hill in Donegal.
Clermont is powerful 140kW and reaches West Belfast but for large swathes of the country signal are blocked by the Mourne Mountains.
Best way to find out if you can get RTE direct is to look around your neighbourhood for vertical polarised aerials pointing towards the transmitter.

I agree with Mike. The BBC has long been a mouthpiece of Government, but since the present crisis started they have suppressed criticism. An example being in the case of the Herd Immunity policy. There was widespread critisism from top experts throughout the World, including Italy, France and the W.H.O.
