I am still have problems getting MUX channel 53 and 57 from both the Cefn Mawr and Wrekin transmitters on lg tv (built in freeview) and seperate freeview box - tuners just ignore both - and get the dreaded no signal message - it has been this way since October 2009. Think we will have to wait until end of September 2011 to get this sorted. Don't know which numpties did the planning of space for allocation of channels, but I bet their salary will be in the six digit figures - should have got Braintist to do it instead!!
Got wideband aeriel with booster pointing to Wrekin btw.

No hills in the way, got straight line of sight over Chirk towards Oswestry, and live in Trevor area (near Ponty Aqueduct). LL20 7UB. Also get ok analogue signal from Sutton C.
Although my Wide band aeriel points to wrekin, with amp the Cefn Mawr signal wipes out Ch 53, 57, although I get 80% strenth and 100% quality signal on channel's 21, 24, 27, 31. I am only 1 mile away from Cefn Mawr transmitter in Fron and can see it very clear from my bedroom window. As Mike says the noise signal from Cefn Mawr will mess up the Wrekin signal - when I had the Aerial put up in Sept 09 it used to pick them all up perfect until Moel-y-Parc switchover, little did I know when I paid my £140 for the upgrade that I would have to wait 2 years to wait due to bad planning of allocation of channel numbers.

It does work with a coat hanger (picking up Cefn Mawr transmitter, 70% signal strength, 100% quality), and it even works with just the top metal part of the coat hanger. Funny how it does not pick the signal up with my outside aerial, although this aerial does point to the wrekin, the side parts of the aeriel do tend to point directly towards this local transmitter. I wonder if the aerial will pick up Cefn Mawr transmitter once the wrekin switches off 53 and 57 in Sept? Perhaps I should use the coat hanger if I need to watch the local news!!
BTW I am North-East of the Riverdee.

Digital HD Transmission definately coming from the Wrekin since 20/4/2011. Near Cefn Mawr, we get 2 lots of HD Channels, 1 lot from Wrekin ch30, 1 lot from Cefn Mawr ch60 (although aeriel points towards wrekin in different direction and not in vertical way, both 100% signal streghth and quality from cefn mawr transmitter). Still cannot get Welsh tv channels unless I plug in an indoor aerial and remove outside aerial (only London regions on HD channels), or any channels on mux 53 or mux 57 using outside wideband aerial (signals from Wrekin/Cefn Mawr still clash).

CH53 and CH57 are both used by wrekin & cefn mawr. See LL20 7UB. Using main aerial results in tuner ignoring both whilst tuning in (ie no channels found)
Got booster installed already, but so near to local transmitter that it drowns out Wrekin 53/57 MUX.
Using a 2 inch nail out of TV I get 80% Strength and 100% quality from Cefn Mawr including HD ch 53, 57 & 60. Although I then loose ITV3, ch4 HD from wrekin (if i turn off main aerial).
UK Free tv digital tv checker predicts i can get Winter Hill, but cannot, although we get Sutton C Analogue still - but this does not show up on the checker.

Agree with jb38, the channel has been a god send, I can hear no more moaning about "there has been nothing worth watching all day, then they put my 2 favorite programmes on at 8pm on bbc 1 and itv 1 at the same time".
Thank god for small mercies.
