Anyone else not receiving tv program guide updates to a panasonic DMR-PWT420 hdd recorder. Or is it just our recorder that's developed the problem.
Now when I press the guide button to view the program listing the TV screen goes black, the sound continues but the only way to get back to normal viewing I have to turn the thing off & then restart it. If I want to record anything I have to use a different route. When I used the guide it was just a press of the red button & it sorted itself out lovely.
I'm not seeing the "Guide" message appear on the display either, that would usually appear in the morning when it would be switched off but in stand by mode.

Update to my post.
I bought the unit in 2012 & I thought it was dying.
I looked up Panasonic support & entered the chat bot, after a couple of minutes a person came on & he came up with a couple of things to try, unplug & leave for a few minutes before powering up again. Well, it did the trick, TV Guide returned. Now happy.
The other possible solution was to do a factory reset.

Problem seems to have resolved itself, I've tried recording via the guide & it worked OK.
