I have poor FM Radio reception, which I believe is brought to Dalbeattie via the Barskeoch Hill repeater. Has the poweroutput at the site been reduced? If so, I strongly recommend maintaining it at the previous power level. I can actually see (line-of-sight) the antennamast from my upstairs window. I have an FM radio with a 6ft whip antenna in the next room and you'd think I'd get good reception. I normally have decent reception but today it is poor, 'down in the noise' and I can hear other FM stations from further outreaches, underneath Classic FM and Radio 3. Perhaps it's some 'Sporadic E' interference but you know, being able to see the mast and yet having days, (many each year) when FM reception is noisy & crackly (low signal reception), is just 'unacceptable' for such proximity.
Hope some recommendations for increased power-output or better FM repeater antennas for Dalbeattie direction can be made.
