Below are all of LutonFan's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Neil- Sorry, I am confused now. To confirm, you need an RF lead, (male to female plugs). The female end plugs into the RF2 output of the Sky and the male end goes into the aerial socket of the TV. A male to male lead is commonly referred to as a 'fly' lead.
It seems strange that it worked previously, but not now. Purchase the male to female lead and let me know how you get on. I don't post that often however, but am sure someone else will help.
Cheers.

jolly- You are correct. This is nationwide, so if users do receive signals from a mendip relay, a retune is required if ITV1+1 is to be viewed.

Heather- Assuming it is correctly connected, the other option would be to try another scart lead.

Andy- In my opinion, your best option would be to purchase a Free-sat box. However, the channel line up is limited in comparison to Sky.
If you go for a second Sky-box, you would still be able to play and record, but you would however need to pay Sky extra monies for the privilage.

Cheryl- I personally would go for the loft aerial. Check that your aerial is pointing south, towards Rowridge. If it does, obtain a group A aerial and fit. Before drilling any holes in the ceiling, connect the aerial to the set and tune to see if it is ok first.
My only concern is according to the DigitalUK site, you have an alternative transmitter, being Hannington. This would suggest you may receive problems with the signal, until your area switches. The roof tiles may attenuate the signal.
Therefore, the best advice I can offer is to contact a local aerial contractor for further information.
It really is your call.

Rob- It sounds as if you have water penetrating your aerial lead. If this is the case, I would contact an aerial contracter(CAI/RDI) sooner rather than later.

Graham Plumb- BBCi player is on programme number 901. If it is not present, try a retune.

Dan- I believe the RF mod is disabled when the box is outputting a digital signal(via HDMI). Also, it will only output either via HDMI or scart.
A possible solution would be to purchase a scart to RF modulater box(from Maplins EG) and connect the scart into the vcr socket of the Virgin box. You could then tune in the Virgin box to the TV and because the TV detects an analogue signal, you would not need to go through the initial setup. If you are using the vcr scart socket for the DVD recorder, this may not be possible.
There is no guarantee this would work, but it is a possible solution.

Brian- Simply connect a scart lead from the output socket of the DVD recorder(normally AV1/EXT1 and the other end into AV1 of the TV.
Use another scart lead using the same proceedure as above for the video, but the other of the scart into AV2 of the TV.
If you want to archive tapes onto DVD, use a third scart lead, plug one end into AV2 of the recorder and the other end into AV2 of the video. Select AV2 on the DVD recorder to record from tape to DVD.
This is generic advice, you would really need to consult your instruction manuals.
Hope this helps.

Derrick Lord- It could be that an external appliance has developed a fault, or a lead has malfunctioned. If applicable, try putting the aerial lead direct into the TV. You could also have a fault with your aerial itself.
