How to Watch: Vintage TV

Below is a list of all the television and radio channels that you can watch in the UK using one of the free services: DAB (for radio), Freeview, Sky No Card - Sky without a viewing card (Freesat from Sky (or fSfS)) and Freesat.. Where a channel can be watched for free, the channel number is listed below. In addition, if you can watch (or listen) immediately online, press the button in the "web" column.

As some channels are exclusive to one service alone, you may need to get receive more than one service to get all the channels you want. The coverage for Freeview differs too - those channels not provided by the public service "Freeview Light" transmitters the current coverage shown thus (54%), taken from Connected Nations Report 2017: Data analysis'

Stuart : That said suggests that the electronic programme guide list hasn't recently been updated, the best way of achieving same is by carrying out a retune "after" having first of all removed the connector, this action blanking out everything stored in the tuner, reconnecting the aerial on completion of same followed by a normal auto tune to refresh the guide list.

It should also be noted that this programme is transmitted by the COM7 HD , meaning that it can only be viewed on TV or boxes capable of receiving HD transmissions, a way to check if yours can is by 101 (BBC HD) being in the guide list, a further check of being able to receive COM7 transmissions is by seeing 57 - 67 - 71 - 78 in the guide list.

I used to get the before it moved, but since it moved I've tried retuning the TV and still no luck? Surely if I could get it before I can still get it?

Is your TV a full HD type? Vintage TV is now on an HD only so to rteceive it you need a full HD set. An '' set does not have the ability to receive HD signals on its own, you would need to add a set top box!

I am in exactly the same position - was working fine on ch 242 then after change to 86 nothing , I have spoken to and the problem lies in the fact that when Vintage TV changed the channel they also changed the - Freeview are telling me that my local () can't accept the new altered frequency so because of this no one in the area can now receive Vintage . I have contacted Vintage by email , tweet etc but at this time they have given no satisfactory answer .

I was really looking forward to getting this on normal as loads of my favourite bands are on the Friday Rock Show. They previously said it had to be 'connected freeview'. Despite connecting the box to the net, it said my (HD) device wasn't compatible.
Then they said they were changing anyway, so I waited...only to find It's to est. 76% of the country. Just like Planet Rock on . :-(. I swear it's a sodding conspiracy to deprive me of rock music!

As it states near the top of this page, Vintage TV is now on COM7. This is an HD so you need a TV, or set top box, that is equipped with a DVB-T2 tuner. The TV, therefore, needs to be a Full HD type and not an '' version.

You also need to live in an area served by a that carries COM7, not all do. To find out if that is available where you live, put a full post code into this website and check the little blue box below your post that shows the title 'digitaluk trade'. That lists the transmitters available in your area and will tell whether or not it carries COM7. If it does and your TV is a full HD type then you should be able to receive it, maybe needing a retune. If it isn't on your local transmitter or your TV is not a full HD type then you will not be able to receive it currently.

thanks for the reply ,
I bought a new full hd tv last year which is equipped with a DVB-T2 tuner and we were happily watching Vintage tv , now I can't due to the fact that when they changed the channel the also changed the and my local won't work with that frequency - so 1,000 s of people in the vicinity can't now receive Vintage , do you have any idea why this was done and what are the options for me now ?

slightly disappointed !
